Panthers-Broncos Third Quarter Update: Broncos Stick To Script
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBS4) - The Broncos are sticking to the script that has landed them so much success this season, and after the third quarter of Super Bowl 50 they lead the Panthers 16-7.
"The Broncos are playing completely according to form. This is who they are and no can deny it works," CBS4's Gary Miller said in a tweet.
CBS4 Sports Executive Director Steve Cox gave a similar analysis in the third quarter.
"The Panthers are falling victim to the same script the Broncos used all season. It just works somehow," Cox wrote in a tweet.
The only score of either team in the third quarter was a 30 yard field goal by Brandon McManus. McManus broke a franchise record for field goals in a Super Bowl with the kick, his third field goal of the game.
