#SB50 More Than Just A Hashtag

By Jeff Todd

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS4)- The Super Bowl is just a few miles down the road from Twitter headquarters in San Francisco, but the office is already preparing for a surge of activity.

"We have a lot happening from hashtags to Vine to Periscope and everything in between. We're all Super Bowl all the time," said Raleigh Blank with Twitter.

"We have our hashtags if you're tweeting with #SB50 you'll notice a gold football emoji. That's where you can find all the great content around the game," said Blank. "#Broncos that's where you're going to see the great stuff from your team, your fans, your players and coaches and everyone else talking about the game."

So far the rest of the country has been tweeting about the Panthers more than the Broncos.

Twitter has plans across its multiple platforms to give fans closer access than ever before.

"From Periscope to Vine to people tweeting with those hash tags. You can find some new follows but you can also see everything happening around the games," said Blank. "You're having those conversations with the teams that are there, the players that have played, the coaches that are all involved and then other fans and followers you can enjoy with. It's real time it's open and it's all there for you to see."
