Firefighters Rescue Man, Cat Stuck In Tree
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters in Westminster rushed to rescue a man who was stuck in a tree in his yard after the ladder he was using to rescue a cat that was stuck in the tree fell.
Firefighters first brought down the man who was about 30 feet high in the tree. He had climbed up the tree using a ladder to rescue the family's cat, Jupiter, that had been stuck for a day.
The ladder fell, leaving both the man and the cat stranded up on a branch in the 9200 block of Cody Lane in Westminster.
After firefighters rescued the man, they went to work on getting the cat down. A firefighter climbed up on a ladder atop Engine 5 and brought down the cat to the waiting family.
Copter4 flew over the rescue while the firefighter brought down the cat. No one was hurt and the cat was happy to be down on the ground.
