Burned Cat Finds Forever Home With Burn Survivor

DENVER (CBS4)- A badly burned cat that spent months in recovery has found a forever family with a human burn survivor.

Phoenix the cat has been adopted by a woman named Gloria. When she was 16 years old, she was in a household accident that left her face, neck and hands seriously burned.

When Gloria heard about Phoenix's story, she considered adopting her after her daughter and friends encouraged her. That's when Gloria went to the Dumb Friends League and fell in love with the cat.

She plans to rename the cat "Rosebud" because of her tiny, pink ears.
