Repeat Sex Offender Gets 20 Years In Prison For Attack On 72-Year-Old Woman

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - A repeat sex offender found guilty of a robbery and attempted sexual assault on a 72-year-old Littleton woman learned his sentence this week.

According to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office, Terron Lamar Guy, 31, of Littleton, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the incident that occurred last April.

The district attorney's office said that in the early morning of April 20 the victim was attempting to get into her car to go to work when Guy approached her and asked her a question.

"When the victim attempted to enter her vehicle, the defendant grabbed her from behind, covered her mouth and threatened to hurt her if she yelled for help. He hit her repeatedly, pulled her pants to her ankles and forced his body against her while masturbating. Once the attempted sexual assault ended, the defendant ran off with her purse," the district attorney's office said in a statement.

Guy lived in an apartment complex that houses parolees and known sex offenders not far from where the victim lived. Security cameras showed Guy leaving the complex about an hour before the assault.

"The investigation showed that the defendant robbed and attempted to sexually assault many women before. He was on parole on the date of the incident and had violated it leaving the residence before 5 a.m."

DNA later linked Guy to the victim's clothing.

"Terron Guy is a predator who ambushed and overpowered a 72-year-old woman to satisfy his own disgusting and uncorrectable urges. No amount of prison can fully restore the dignity and safety ripped from this courageous victim. The most vulnerable among us are safe as long as Guy is locked up," District Attorney George Brauchler said.
