GYPSUM, Colo. (CBS4)- A 15-year-old from Gypsum who dreamed of becoming a professional skier before she was paralyzed is showing off her winning spirit by hitting the slopes once again.

When Kailyn was learning how to cope with her limitations and wheelchair, she told CBS4's Britt Moreno that she wanted to ski again. She hit the slopes once more over the weekend.

Kailyn was on a mono-ski at Winter Park for the first time since she fell in May 2015.

She told CBS4 that it was really different and hard but said she enjoyed it a lot because she was finally back on the snow. The only bad thing she mentioned was that skiing left her sore!
