Man Wanted For Stabbing Family Struck By Several Vehicles On I-25

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A man presumed to be the suspect who stabbed his entire family was killed after he was struck by several vehicles on Interstate 25 in Northern Colorado.

The man has been identified as Randall Vanwoerkom, 30, of Cheyenne, Wyo.

Police in Cheyenne rushed to 4306 Cheyenne Street at 11:15 p.m. Friday after receiving multiple 911 hang up calls from the residence. When officers arrived they found four members of Vanwoerkom's family had been stabbed with a knife multiple times.

The victims include Randall's wife, Marcai Vanwoerkom, 30, and the couple's 4 and 6-year-old sons as well as Marcai's father.

All victims were rushed to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and remained in stable condition on Saturday.

Police believe Vanwoerkom attacked his family after confronted of allegations about infidelity. He sped away in a vehicle prior to officers arriving.

As officers were attempting to contact him, they received reports that he was involved in a deadly crash on I-25 in Larimer County. Police say had been involved in a crash and then exited the vehicle, walking onto I-25 and was struck by several vehicles. He did not survive.
