Nurse Accused Of Groping Patient Appears In Court

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A nurse who is charged with groping one of his patients in Fort Collins appeared in court Monday morning.

Thomas Mark Moore, of Eaton, is facing one count of unlawful sexual contact after police say he touched and kissed a bare chested female patient under his care.

The incident is alleged to have happened at Poudre Valley Hospital in 2013.

Moore went before a judge in Larimer County on Monday but the hearing was rescheduled. Moore's attorney told the judge he's trying to retain local counsel instead.

Leaving court, Moore said nothing in response to questions about the accusation. His attorney said he refused to comment on pending ligitation.

Police say they are investigating whether Moore may have committed more crimes during his time working as a nurse in seven hospitals and medical centers on Colorado's Front Range.

Moore has been out on bond since shortly after being arrested last month. Last week the Colorado Board of Nursing suspended Moore's professional license.
