Teen's Spot-On Peyton Manning Impression Wins Him Trip To The Super Bowl

OREM, Utah (CBS4) - A lucky ninth-grader in Utah will be going to the biggest football game of the year thanks to his spot-on impersonation of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

Talon Peterson, 14, from Orem, Utah, entered the weekly Sunday NFL Countdown Super Bowl Contest put on by ESPN. To enter, viewers were asked to submit a video of their best Manning impersonation on Twitter.

Peterson, decked out in a Manning jersey, Broncos helmet and cleats spent the next 25 minutes making his winning video of him imitating Manning's hand gestures and yelling "Omaha," according to heraldextra.com.

He was eventually selected as one of 15 finalists for the grand prize -- two tickets to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 7.

Peterson then had to wait for two months to find out who won. On Sunday he was gathered with family and friends all decked out in Broncos gear when his video was named the winner. The whole room erupted in joy with jumping and hugs upon learning Peterson won.

"When they announced the winner I was flipping out saying 'Oh my gosh, I'm on TV!'" Peterson told Herald Media. "I always try to imitate his game and think like Peyton would think ... he's probably the best player ever."

Peterson will go to the big game with his mother, Amy.
