Jury Acquits Denver Police Officer In Domestic Violence Case

DENVER (CBS4)- CBS4 has learned a veteran Denver Police officer, arrested and charged with assault and domestic violence last year, went back to work this week less than two months after an Adams County jury acquitted him on all charges.
Todd Parro was arrested in Commerce City in February 2015 and jailed on domestic violence and third-degree assault charges. He admitted throwing a small wooden jewelry box that hit a woman who he lived with.
The case went to trial in November 2015 in Adams County where a jury acquitted Parro according to Colorado court records.
CBS4 has learned the veteran officer was allowed to return to his job this week patrolling Denver International Airport. Contacted by CBS4, Parro declined to comment on the acquittal.
