Boy Critical After Getting Shot In Head While Playing With Gun

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A 9-year-old boy is recovering at Children's Hospital after accidentally being shot in the head while playing with a loaded gun with his younger brother.

The shooting happened in Trinidad inside a car parked at the Sparks Natural Gas station on Goddard Street. Investigators say the boys found a loaded gun in the car and it went off while they were playing with it.

An employee of the gas station was in charge of watching the boys. At this point he has not been arrested.

The boy has undergone surgery and is currently listed in critical condition.
