Latest Storm Could Push Colorado Ski Area Over 200" While East Coast Skiing Stunted

DENVER (CBS4) - It's feast or famine in the ski world this season across the United States.
The latest storm to hit Colorado threatens to push the Wolf Creek Ski Area over the 200 inches mark for snowfall this season.
As of Dec. 22, their season-to-date total stood at 191" with more snow in the forecast.
Several Colorado ski resorts have exceeded 100" since the flakes began to fly in October.
Loveland - 138"
Steamboat Springs - 133"
Winter Park - 115"
Telluride - 107"
Breckenridge - 106"
Vail - 106"
Meanwhile at ski resorts on the East Coast it's a completely different story due to a prolonged period of record warmth.
As of Dec. 22, Vermont's Stowe Mountain Resort had only received 17" of snow so far this season. North Carolina's Sugar Mountain was reporting only 1.1" of snow.
Several cities in the eastern United States are preparing for the warmest Christmas ever recorded.
