4 Denver Broncos Selected for 2016 Pro Bowl

DENVER (CBS4)- Four Denver Broncos players were selected to play in the 2016 Pro Bowl.

Cornerback Chris Harris Jr., outside linebacker Von Miller, cornerback Aqib Talib and outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware received invitations to play in the league's annual All-Star Game on Jan. 31, 2016 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

In addition to those players, four Broncos are listed as Pro Bowl alternates: inside linebacker Brandon Marshall, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, guard Louis Vasquez and safety T.J. Ward.

Additional Information from the Denver Broncos:

All four of Denver's Pro Bowl selections were either drafted or signed by Broncos Executive Vice President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway during the last four years. The four players have combined for nine Pro Bowl selections since joining the Broncos.

CB CHRIS HARRIS JR.

Harris Jr. is a Pro Bowl selection for the second consecutive season after receiving his first such honor least year. Signed by the Broncos as a college free agent in 2011, he is one of just five undrafted cornerbacks in pro football history to make multiple Pro Bowls with his original team.

Harris Jr. has started all 14 games for the Broncos this year and has totaled 52 tackles (43 solo), two interceptions (94 yds., 1 TD), four passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

OLB VON MILLER

Miller, a Pro Bowler for the second consecutive season, is the fourth Broncos linebacker to be selected to at least four Pro Bowls. He joins Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little and Ring of Fame safety Steve Atwater as the only players in team history to make at least four Pro Bowls in their first five years with the team.

In 15 starts this season, Miller leads the Broncos with 10 sacks (70 yds.) to go along with 31 tackles (26 solo), one pass defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

CB AQIB TALIB

Talib, who was signed by the Broncos in 2014, is a Pro Bowler for the second consecutive season with Denver and the third straight year overall (New England, 2013).

In 14 starts for the Broncos this year, he has totaled a team-best three interceptions (123 yds., 2 TDs) and 13 passes defensed in addition to 38 tackles (33 solo). During his three season stretch as a Pro Bowler (2013-15), Talib is tied for fourth among his position group with 11 interceptions, including four interceptions returned for touchdowns.

OLB DEMARCUS WARE

Ware, who is in his second season with the Broncos, is making his second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance and ninth total selection to tie for the most among active NFL defensive players.

The 11th-year player ranks second on the Broncos with 6.5 sacks (52.5 yds.) to go along with 20 tackles (14 solo) and one forced fumble in nine games (8 starts).
