Mikaela Shiffrin's Injuries Won't Require Surgery, But Season Likely Over
VAIL, Colo. (CBS4) - Mikaela Shiffrin's ski season appears to be over.
The Vail native partially tore her MCL and bruised the tibial plateau of her right knee Saturday while warming up in Sweden.
Shiffrin hopes to be back on the slopes by the end of the year to resume training, but racing will probably have to wait until next year.
The good news is neither injury will require surgery.
