DENVER (CBS4) - The History Colorado Center is bringing out another rarely seen item Friday morning and this one is the stuff of cowgirl legend.

She met her future husband while working on the show. On May 9, 1913, she married the feller in front of a crowd of 8,000. Other riders rode circles around them and fired guns, yipped and hollered as they threw rice and old shoes.

Goldie wore a wedding outfit made by some of the Sioux performers on the show. History Colorado also has a horn and silver box given to Goldie as a wedding gift by Buffalo Bill.

Goldie eventually settled in Nederland where she ran restaurants. She was well known around town and remains a legend through the years for her colorful early years as vivid as the wild west.

Friday's revealing moment is part of "Who Knew!? Everything Old is New Again." Each week, something rare comes out of storage at the History Colorado Center on Broadway.
