White SUV Spotted At 3 Separate Shooting In Denver

By Jennifer Brice

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Police Department worked three shootings across the city Tuesday morning in which a white SUV may have been involved. Police believe the three shootings, which happened between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., are not random.

The first shooting happened on Park Avenue West near Curtis Street, where a man was shot four times at approximately 3:03 a.m. It happened just outside a homeless shelter police say the man may have been targeted.

Then at 4:59 a.m., the second shooting happened at Glenarm Place and 24th Street. That victim was also an adult man. Daniele Slaughter lives near that location and says it's alarming.

"It makes you be cautious, especially when I'm coming home and going to work," Slaughter said.

The third shooting was reported at 5:07 a.m. at Forest Street and East 36th Avenue. A woman was shot there. All three victim, police say, will survive. They're injuries are non-life threatening.

Police say a white SUV was reported at the three locations, which is why they're investigating to see if the shootings are connected. Slaughter says she'll now be more cautious, even though the shootings are not believed to be random.

"It just makes you think," she said.

It makes you more cautious about where your living and honestly I'm going to be more paranoid than I already am."
