Offensive Lineman Ryan Harris: Osweiler Was Impressive In The Huddle

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - How did Brock Osweiler carry himself in the huddle in Chicago? Leading the offense for the first time as the Broncos starting quarterback, did he remember all the plays?

"He did remember all the plays," said offensive lineman Ryan Harris during his guest appearance on Xfinity Monday Live.

Harris played every down of Sunday's 17-15 win over the Bears at left tackle and said all that hard work on the practice field paid off for Osweiler.

"The great thing about Brock is he's been practicing with us. We're used to his cadence, his calls, and he's really been each week in the game plan," Harris said. "So I think that really benefited us as a team on Sunday."

Harris said Osweiler deserves kudos for being willing to learn from Peyton Manning as his backup for all these years.

"A lot of young players would say 'I'm going to do things my way, I'm in the NFL.' But he's really learned a lot from Peyton. He's learned a lot from Coach Kubiak."

Harris said the offensive linemen for the most part enjoyed the battle in the trenches in Sunday's game, one in which the Broncos racked up 170 yards on the ground.

"When you're winning and when you're able to run the ball like you're having fun," Harris said.

Show host Vic Lombardi asked Harris how he and his fellow linemen have been handling the criticisms that have been hurled at them at several points throughout the season.

"There's always going to be people who are unsatisfied with what you're doing, no matter what you're doing. And to be a good professional you need to identify what success is for you. And for me and for the rest of my teammates it's winning games, and we've been doing that more than we haven't been."

The 8-2 Broncos next face the New England Patriots on Sunday night.
