Broncos Lead Bears 10-6 At Halftime
(CBS4/The Sports Xchange) - After an impressive first drive of the game with a Brock Osweiler to Demaryius Thomas touchdown, the Broncos offense then stalled, but they still lead the Bears 10-6 at halftime.
The Broncos' defense looked like their old selves and kept Jay Cutler and the Bears out of the end zone in the first half.
After the Bears scored on a Robbie Gould field goal, Omar Bolden made a big mistake and let the kickoff bounce and had to pick up the ball just outside the end zone. He was immediately tackled and injured on the play. The Broncos then went three-and-out and had to punt out of their own end zone. But the Broncos' defense held on the Bears next possession and forced the Bears to punt.
Nose tackle Sylvester Williams was shaken up in the second quarter and had to leave the game.
Brandon McManus added a field goal to close out the half to make it 10-6.
