More Room For Kids To Play, Learn At The Children's Museum Of Denver

DENVER (CBS4)- There is more room to play and learn at The Children's Museum of Denver. Friday morning Gov. John Hickenlooper helped cut the ribbon to the renovated museum.

The Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico campus cut the ribbon to visitors which opened up 20 new and refurbished interactive exhibits for kids.

The museum said the goal is to give kids a solid foundation through fun.

"These children who have experienced this today will become the leaders, rocket scientists, they will become the artists of our community, they're going to solve the issues that are seemingly unsolvable today," said Children's Museum President and CEO Mike Yankovich. "That's what this place is about."

The Children's Museum expects to welcome as many as 500,000 visitors.
