Buffs Seeking To Turn The Corner Against Washington State

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Washington State can guarantee a chance at a higher-level bowl game, such as the Alamo, with a win. Colorado is seeking to turn the corner after a series of close losses.

KEY MATCHUP

Washington State's Air Raid offense has been nearly unstoppable this season, as the Cougars average 414 yards a game through the air, against Colorado's defense.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Colorado: WR Nelson Spruce is one of the best in the Pac-12, ranking second in the league in receptions per game. QB Cade Apsay is making his first start in the place of the injured Sefo Liufau.

Washington State: QB Luke Falk has thrown for more than 4,000 yards and 35 touchdown passes and is being touted as a Heisman Trophy candidate by coach Mike Leach. His favorite target, Gabe Marks, leads the Pac-12 in receptions per game and is a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff award.
