Broncos Notebook, Nov. 19: Manning Not Even Attending Meetings

Broncos practicing indoors again today (didn't see the outside fields but assuming they are still muddy from Tuesday snow storm).

Day 2 for Brock Osweiler as Broncos starting quarterback. Gary Kubiak said yesterday Peyton Manning isn't even attending team meetings, just rehabbing with the team trainer. His streak of 57 straight regular season starts is a Broncos record. (John Elway 2nd with 47).

Kubiak said they won't be making big changes to the offense with Brock at QB, they won't be simplifying things or opening things up to fit him... Just running the "Denver Broncos offense."

Osweiler's start vs. Chicago's Jay Cutler is just the 2nd time two Broncos quarterback draft picks will start against each other. The last time was 2008 when Cutler started for Denver and Brian Griese for Tampa Bay (Broncos won 16-13).

The last time a QB drafted by the Broncos won his first start was 1983 (Gary Kubiak).

Injury Update:

-Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) at practice and did some drills, but mostly watching without his helmet. Owen Daniels (knee/shoulder) practicing during open media portion today.

-DeMarcus Ware (back) still not at practice, like Manning spending the week with trainer but Kubiak said he hopes he can do some field work by end of week.

-Antonio Smith (hip) and Vance Walker (shoulder) did not practice.

Broncos are 7-7 all-time vs Bears, most recently the Broncos won 13-10 at home in 2011. Broncos last win in Chicago was in 1993.
