Air Canada To Begin Nonstop Flights From DIA Beginning In June

DENVER (CBS4) - Air Canada on Thursday announced it will have new nonstop flights from Denver International Airport to Montreal.

Mayor Michael Hancock says Montreal is a key market with tens of thousands of people traveling between the two cities each year.

"Montreal was a key market missing from our air service network," Hancock said in a statement. "Nonstop connectivity is a critical component of our efforts to elevate Denver's profile globally, and Air Canada's flights will serve to further boost our international growth."

Montreal ranks as Denver's largest Canadian market without nonstop service, and Denver's second-largest international market without nonstop service, behind only Paris, France.

Daily flights start June 4 of 2016.
