Law Enforcement Honors Fallen Trooper During Motorcade
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Law enforcement across Colorado honored fallen State Trooper Jaimie Jursevics on Tuesday during a motorcade bringing her family to Denver.
Jursevics was struck by a suspected drunk driver just before 9 p.m. Sunday. She had been assisting another trooper on the scene of an accident at Interstate 25 and Tomah Road.
On Tuesday her family, who was traveling from Utah, was escorted along Interstate 70 across Colorado and saluted by law enforcement on overpasses.
