150 To Sleep Outside To Raise Awareness, Funds For Homeless Youth

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Boulder County is holding Sleep Out 2015 the night of November 12 to raise awareness and funding in support of homeless and at-risk youth.

November is Homeless and Runaway Youth Awareness Month, and over 150 community members will sleep outdoors Thursday night to show their support.

Participants will spend the night sleeping outside on a lawn in downtown Boulder, between First United Methodist Church and the non-profit youth shelter Attention Homes. The location is near 15th Street and Spruce Street, just west of Boulder's Pearl Street Mall.

Each participant has pledged to raise $1,000 for Attention Homes, through friends, family and colleagues. Sleep Out 2015 is expected to raise over $100,000 to support homeless and runaway youth.

This is the fourth annual Sleep Out for Homeless Youth.
