State Patrol Launches Plane In Search For Robbery Suspect

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The Colorado State Patrol assisted in the search for suspects in Boulder County on Tuesday morning. The suspect was wanted in connection with a home invasion and robbery.

Dispatch in Boulder County received a 911 call about 9:33 a.m. Tuesday about an armed robbery and assault that happened at a home in the 4200 block of Sunshine Canyon in unincorporated Boulder County.

When deputies arrived they found a 45-year-old male victim with non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital and expected to recover.

The suspect in the armed robbery was seen driving away from Boulder and last seen on Highway 128 near Interlocken.

The Colorado State Patrol, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, and Boulder police all pursued the suspect until they got to Broomfield where the pursuit was called off due to dangerous driving conditions.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2012 Chevy Suburban. The suspect vehicle also crashed into another vehicle which may have caused some front-end damage.

The suspect is believed to be armed.
