Thomas Knows Broncos Offense 'Still Has Some Work To Do'

DENVER (CBS4) - After the Broncos offense finally started to put up big numbers on the ground and in the air in Week 8, the team feels it's imperative the wind doesn't go out of the sails now.

That's certainly wide receiver Demaryius Thomas's take on things.

"That was our first game this year to say we went out and had a great game all around. You've got to be able to do it more than one week," Thomas said on the CBS4 Football Blitz, referring to the 29-10 win over the Packers.

"Of course the defense has been doing it the whole season," he said, nodding to safety T.J. Ward, his fellow guest on the show, "but we've got to go out and put more good football up to say we're going on the right track. We had one good game, but we've still got some work to do."

Ward said he and defensive teammates were waiting all season for that offensive outburst. With Peyton Manning running the huddle, they knew it would happen eventually.

"For us, just watching defensively it was a matter of time. We were waiting on it, and they exploded at the perfect moment. We were playing great defense. Sunday night it all just happened at the perfect time," Ward said.

Indianapolis will be the venue Sunday afternoon for what could be another offensive explosion by Denver against a Colts team that has not lived up to expections. However, it's the same team that ousted the Broncos from the playoffs last season.

"All that matters right now is we're 7-0," Thomas said. "All we worry about is Indy."
