Mayor Hancock Breaks Out The Paintbrush For Opening Of Denver Arts Week
DENVER (CBS4) - Thursday is the official kick-off of Denver Arts Week, an eight-day celebration of all the arts through the metro area.
Mayor Michael Hancock tried his hand at painting at the Red Line Gallery in the Ballpark neighborhood. The mural is a permanent installation at Red Line and the mayor added his touches.
Denver Arts Week is all about experimenting with something new.
"The reality is it's one of the foundations of any great city. You must have a strong arts and culture, environment and community," Hancock said.
