Kremmling Saying Goodbye To Quarterback Killed In Crash

KREMMLING, Colo. (AP) — The mountain town of Kremmling is saying goodbye to its star quarterback, who was killed in a crash on his way home from practice last week.

Classes are cancelled Monday in the community about 100 miles west of Denver so people can attend the funeral of 16-year-old John David Guess, who was known as JD. The service will be held at 1 p.m. in the West Grand High School.

He was killed Tuesday night after he lost control of his 1996 Ford pickup on icy U.S. Highway 40.
