Armed Suspects Wearing Surgical Masks Rob 7-Elevens

DENVER (CBS4) - Two 7-Eleven stores were robbed by a pair of thieves wearing surgical masks and carrying guns early Tuesday morning. Police believe the same suspects are responsible for both.

Police received a call just before 2 a.m. Tuesday on reports of a robbery at a 7-Eleven on East 6th Avenue and Josephine Street. Fifteen minutes earlier, police say the same two suspects robbed another 7-Eleven on West Alameda Avenue and Bannock Street.

At the store on East 6th Avenue, the suspects shot out a window thinking they were locked in.

No one was injured in the two robberies.

Police describe the suspects as two black males with average build, one wearing a gray hoodie, the other wearing a black or blue shirt and dark pants or pulled up shorts.

Both were wearing doctor's surgical masks and carrying guns.
