Woman Charged With Killing Dog During Domestic Violence Incident
DENVER (CBS4)- A woman has been charged with killing a dog during a domestic violence incident.
Kanei Love has been charged with one count of aggravated cruelty to animals. The charges allege that on Oct. 18 Love was involved in a domestic altercation and allegedly killed a family dog when she kicked him into the air.
Love, 25, has been released from custody on a $2,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Nov. 2 to be formally advised of the charge.
The man involved in the incident, Melvin Lewis, 22, was cited with a city assault charge for allegedly hitting Love during the incident.
