Police Impersonation Suspect Is A Prominent Denver Businessman

DENVER (CBS4)- Denver police found it odd when two drivers on Colorado Boulevard reported a man honking and waiving a badge in the air just minutes apart on Aug. 5.

According to an arrest affidavit, prominent Denver businessman Richard Bugdanowitz was arrested for impersonating a peace officer.

Both drivers reported seeing a man in a dark-colored Porsche with a dog in the passenger seat waving a badge in the air.

One witness told police Bugdanowitz allegedly told her to get off her phone then said, "Get over I'm a cop, don't you see this badge. Get over."
