First Measurable Snow Of The Season In Conifer Captured On Video

CONIFER, Colo. (CBS4) - There has been some measurable snow in Colorado's higher mountain elevations this fall, but there's been very little to speak of in the foothills or the Denver metro area yet.

On Thursday morning CBS4 Weather Watcher Bambi Moss captured the first measurable snowfall of season in the Conifer area, and it's a pretty sight. Measurable means .1 inches of accumulation or greater.

Just before 8 a.m. Moss reported a total of .3 inches of snow in an hour-and-a-half period.

Other Weather Watchers snow reports include 3 inches from Bob Carlisle in Pinecliffe and 2.5 inches from Cinthea Fiss in Silver Plume.

The mountains and foothills are in a Winter Weather Advisory through 3 p.m. Thursday.

"With moisture still flowing in there snow and rain will taper off in intensity but, stay with us through Friday," CBS4 meteorologist Dave Aguilera reports.
