Anderson, A Former Raiders Fan, Says Going Into Enemy Territory A Good Test For Broncos

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - According to Broncos running back C.J. Anderson, the NFL is just more fun when the Oakland Raiders are playing well.

That hasn't been the case for many years of course, but things seem to be turning around this year under Raiders new head coach Jack Del Rio, and the dreaded Raiders fans are as ruthless as ever.

"There's a play on film that I've watched. Baltimore scores a touchdown with their backup running back. A fan throws a towel at him and like nine or 10 fans flip him off," said Anderson, who grew up rooting for the Raiders in California.

Anderson and the Broncos head to O.co Coliseum in Oakland for Sunday's matchup with the Raiders, the first of two meetings they'll have against their AFC West foe this year. He told CBS4's Vic Lombardi on the CBS4 Football Blitz he gets a rush playing in such a hostile environment.

"When you go into that type of atmosphere it's good," he said. "We've just got to continue to be consistent with what we do every day and we'll be fine."

Broncos cornerback Chris Harris was also a guest on the CBS4 Sports Show and pointed out the differences between Del Rio, his defensive coordinator last year, and current defensive coach Wade Phillips.

"We blitz. We attack a lot more. We blitzed with Jack, but with Coach Wade we blitz all game," Harris said.
