Aurora Police Believe 2 Shootings Connected

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora believe two shootings on Sunday, one deadly, are related.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired at the Canterra at Fitzsimons Apartments located in the 300 block of Potomac Way just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police found Corey Clemons with gunshot wounds. Clemons, 30, was taken to University of Colorado Hospital where he died from his injuries.

A little while later Aurora police got a call from someone saying he had been shot. That person was located in the area of East 13th Avenue and East Richthofen Circle. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Investigators believe the second shooting victim is connected to the deadly shooting on Potomac Way.

Police don't have any suspect information.
