National Voter Registration Day Encourages Participation At The Polls

DENVER (CBS4)- Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day where people are encouraged to register to vote so they can have a voice at the polls.

Colorado has the third highest voter registration rates in the country with 87 percent of residents registered to vote.

"So even if you're registered you want to go to govotecolorado.com and make sure everything is current because your ballot is going to be mailed to you in October, we want to make sure you've got updated information so it gets mailed to the right address and has the right races for you to vote on," said Secretary of State Wayne Williams.
