Parker Police: 17-Year-Old Girl Kidnapped From Home
PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Parker are investigating the kidnapping and attempted sexual assault of a teenage girl on Monday. There may be as many as three male attackers.
Police received a call from a Parker resident about 9:20 p.m. Monday after that person encountered the teenager while walking in the Hidden River/Willow Park area.
She told the person that she had been kidnapped from her home and placed in a vehicle where she was subjected to unlawful sexual contact and an attempted sexual assault while in the vehicle before she was released in the Willow Park area. She flagged down the person walking, who then called police.
Officers immediately responded and searched the area but did not find anyone.
Police said at approximately 8:30 p.m. the teenager was home alone when she was abducted and that her captors placed something over her eyes so she couldn't identify anyone.
She told police they groped her and tried to sexually assault her in the vehicle before they dropped her off about a mile from home.
The victim sustained minor injuries but is safe. Police do not have a description of the vehicle or any suspect or suspects. Detectives say the incident occurred within 60 minutes of the initial call to police.
"She did not know these people; she doesn't know who would have done this. That's why we're reaching out to the public," Dawn Cashman with Parker Police said. "Somebody may have seen a vehicle or (saw) a male or multiple males in and around that residence or that neighborhood last night."
Homeowners with surveillance video are encouraged to call police to help with the suspect identification.
"There are tons of kids around this neighborhood … they need to be caught," neighbor Jessica Sass said. "They need to go away for a long time."
