Giovinco Scores Twice, Toronto FC Beats Rapids 3-1

TORONTO (AP) — Sebastian Giovinco scored two goals and set up a third in Toronto FC's 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.

The game began in sunny conditions and ended with sheets of rain billowing in off Lake Ontario.

Giovinco has 19 goals in 28 games in his first MLS season.

Damien Perquis also scored for Toronto ((3-6-1).

Dillon Powers scored for Colorado (8-11-10).
