Boulder Police Search For Man Who Held Gun To Victim's Head
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are searching for a man who held a gun to another man's head while he was trying to buy a soft drink from a machine.
Police have released a sketch of the man they are looking for.
The victim was outside the O'Reilly Auto Parts store on 28th Street about 1:10 a.m. Monday when the suspect walked up to him, held a gun to his head and told him to give him his money or he would shoot him. The victim tried to back away but the suspect charged his weapon by racking the slide back and pointing it at the victim.
The victim told police he heard a "whizzing" sound and something hitting the ground by his feet. He believes the suspect had a pellet or an air-soft gun.
The victim was able to get away and call police from a nearby Safeway store.
The suspect is described as a Latino man, 28-32 years old, 5-foot-7 with a medium build and a large stomach, buzzed haircut and short facial hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with black writing and orange or red shorts.
