Aqib Talib Gets Defensive Player Of The Week Honors
DENVER (CBS4) - After an impressive performance on Sunday that included an interception return for a touchdown, Aqib Talib was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
It's the third time the cornerback has gotten the NFL honors.
Following the 19-13 win over the Ravens, Talib said he is excited to have Wade Phillips as his defensive coordinator.
"His defense allows you to play so fast. I think it's paying off for us," Talib said.
Of the touchdown, referring to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco's pass he said "We were going to get the play all day. I checked the situation. I saw the look. He threw it right to me."
