Police: Fan Suffers Serious Injuries In Fall At Broncos Game

DENVER (AP/CBS4) - Denver Police say a man was transported to a hospital with serious injuries after falling over a railing at the start of the Denver Broncos game Sunday.

The 42 year-old-man, who hasn't been identified, fell about 15 or 16 feet in the west stands in what appeared to be an accident just before kickoff. Police said he was in critical condition, but did not disclose the nature of the injuries.

According to CBS4's news partners at 850KOA, in addition to seriously hurting himself in the fall the man also suffered a heart attack as he was being taken to the hospital.

Late last month, a 60-year-old baseball fan in Atlanta died after falling from the upper deck at Turner Field in a game between the Braves and New York Yankees.
