JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Deputies in Jefferson County would like the public’s help identifying a man suspected of breaking into a car, stealing a purse and making an expensive purchase with a stolen credit card.
According to Jacki Kelley with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, on Sept. 1 sometime between 9-10 a.m., a car was broken into in Van Bibber Open Space Park and a purse was stolen.
“The suspect then used one of the credit cards from the purse to purchase a television at the Colorado Mills Super Target,” Kelley said in a statement.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 6-foot-2 with a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a light tan t-shirt and a baseball hat with sunglasses on top.
“A male matching that description was seen in the area of Van Bibber Open Space Park around the time of the vehicle break in,” Kelly said.
The suspect may be driving an older model, full size white Ford pickup with an extended cab, a white topper, and a blue strip along the side.
