Search Continues For Overdue Hiker In Eldorado State Park
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities are searching for an overdue hiker in Boulder County.
According to Heidi Prentup with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, David Robles, 53, from Westminster was last heard from at 1:15 p.m. Saturday. He had gone for a hike Eldorado State Park but never returned.
Search teams looked for Robles all day Saturday until it got dark and resumed the search Sunday morning. The were also searching the South Boulder Creek area. Both ground and water search teams are involved
Robles has a light build with dark brown hair.He reportedly wasn't familiar with Eldorado State Park.
"It is unknown what clothing he was wearing and if he was prepared to be out overnight," Prentup said in a statement.
Searchers from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Colorado State Parks, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District, Front Range Rescue Dogs, Boulder Emergency Squad, Longmont Emergency Unit, Larimer County Search and Rescue; and Arapahoe Search and Rescue are involved in the search.
