Petition Circulating To Keep The Colorado State Fair In Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (CBS4) - Five-thousand people have signed a petition to keep the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo.
The state fair has been in Pueblo since 1872. Earlier this summer there were discussions about relocating the fair to the Denver area. Some lawmakers argued the fair needs to move if it wants to stay in business, but leaders in Pueblo say the fair is a tremendous boom for their economy.
Leaders in Pueblo plan to use the petition as leverage if lawmakers try to move the event.
