Cellphone Service Down In Parts Of Clear Creek County

IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Cellphone service has been interrupted in Clear Creek County on Monday.

According to CenturyLink spokesperson Sara Spaulding, somebody cut through a line near Central City Parkway approximately 3 miles east of Idaho Springs. Service is down from that location west to Georgetown.

CenturyLink has a crew working on the problem but can't get cellphone service to call in to update the progress.

It's not clear how many people or which providers are affected.

Landlines are still working in the area.
