Dive Teams Try To Find Teen In Water At Green Mountain Reservoir

LAKE DILLON, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters with Lake Dillon Fire rushed to reports of a possible drowning at Green Mountain Reservoir on Saturday afternoon.

Lake Dillon Fire said their firefighters, along with the Summit County Water Rescue Team and Grand County EMS crews searched for a Summit County teen who disappeared beneath the surface of the water.

The high school aged male reportedly chased a ball into the water from near the Willow Springs campground at the northern end of the reservoir and began struggling and went underwater about 2 p.m.

People nearby tried to help him but were unable to find him.

Searchers are fearful the boy drowned but continued search efforts. The boy's identity has not been released.
