Broncos Will Host The 2 Most Expensive NFL Games On Secondary Market This Season

Provided by TiqIQ

The sun is slowly setting on Peyton Manning's hallowed NFL career. The 39-year-old quarterback has been nothing short of fantastic over his first three years in Denver, but Broncos fans across the country are beginning to see the window close on Manning's chances of leading the franchise to its ever-elusive third Super Bowl championship. It is unknown if he will play past the 2015 season, and that indefiniteness is causing ticket prices to increase on the secondary market with each passing season.

According to TiqIQ, the Broncos will play their most expensive home game this season against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 1. With Aaron Rodgers making the first appearance of his career at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, the average price for Broncos vs Packers tickets in Week 8 is currently $661.19 on the secondary market, 71.6% above season average, and the cheapest ticket is listed for $211. The game will also be in primetime, the featured matchup of the week for Sunday Night Football. The Broncos last faced the Packers at Lambeau Field in 2011. During the apex of Tebow mania, that game garnered a $308.23 ticket average and $196 get-in price.

Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots will serve as the second most expensive opponent in Denver this season. November 29 Broncos vs Patriots tickets average $570.18, 48% over season average, and the get-in price is $179. Including the playoffs, Manning and Brady have faced each other 16 times. The 17th meeting has the potential to be the last, though of course there is always the possibility of another meeting in the playoffs.

Currently, Denver's home games against the Packers and Patriots are the two most expensive games in the NFL this season. No other game besides the meeting with the Packers has a secondary market average price above $600.

Overall, the average secondary market price for Denver Broncos tickets over all eight 2015 home games is $385.26. That marks a 4.1% increase from last season's overall average of $370 and an 18.6% jump from 2013's $324.77 average. The Broncos have won at least 12 games in each of the past three seasons with Manning under center and his immediate impact has greatly affected the ticket sales on the resale market.

Other top-priced games at home on the Broncos schedule come on Oct. 4 against the Minnesota Vikings ($468.10 avg./$162 get-in) and the home opener on Sept. 13 against the Baltimore Ravens ($363.80 avg./$120 get-in).

The team's final home game of the regular season against the San Diego Chargers on Jan. 3 is the most affordable game of the season. The secondary market average for Broncos vs Chargers tickets is now $283.57, 26.4% below season average, and the cheapest ticket is $79. A December 13 matchup with the Oakland Raiders is the second cheapest game with tickets averaging $290.81 and get-in price starting at $87.

With the possibility of 2015 being Manning's final season, a trip to Sports Authority Field at Mile High is almost a must.
