Woman Arrested For Luring, Feeding Bears In Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A Colorado Springs woman has been arrested for allegedly luring bears with food to her neighborhood.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife claims Jo Ann Medina ignored numerous warnings and citations, including a court order, to stop feeding the bears.

Investigators said they watched as many as 10 bears stop by Medina's home for food. She lives near two elementary schools.

At least three of the bears she is accused of feeding will have to be put down because they have been caught near humans before. The others will be relocated.
