Edible Pot Up For Another Review By Colorado Regulators

DENVER (AP) - It's been more than a year since Colorado passed a law requiring edible marijuana to have a distinct look when out of its package.

But the agency that regulates pot has struggled to define what that means. With just a few months left before the requirement takes effect, the state Marijuana Enforcement Division is scrambling to craft final rules for what those pot brownies and sodas should look like.

A panel of edible pot makers and pot regulators are scheduled to meet in Denver Tuesday to try again.

The law requires edible marijuana to have a distinct look. But manufacturers have complained that the requirement will be impossible to meet for products such as pot-infused sodas and granolas. The new look takes effect in January.
