Rain Helps Crews Get Handle On Toe Fire Near The Four Corners Region

FOUR CORNERS, Colo. (CBS4) - The Toe Fire has burned about 370 acres near the Four Corners in southwestern Colorado by Sunday evening.

Officials say the fire was 63 percent contained Saturday night and should be close to 100 percent contained by the end of the day Sunday.

Rain on Friday helped crews get a handle on the blaze.

The fire is burning on the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Reservation. The fire got its name because the mountain is called the Sleeping Ute and it looks like the toe of that sleeping Ute.

No homes or property are threatened.
