Hero Meets Little Girl After Pulling Her From Water

WINDSOR, Colo. (CBS4)- A man who found a 4-year-old unresponsive in Windsor Lake on Sunday was able to meet her just one day after he pulled her from the water.

Angelo Mondragon found the little girl, Sitlali Hernandez, unconscious in the water about 2:30 p.m. Sunday. He said he felt something brush against his feet and looked back and saw her tiny foot just beneath the surface.

"I saw just the bottom of her feet and then right then at that moment, that became my child, I reached in and I pulled her out like I would any of my babies," said Mondragon, who is a father of three.

He grabbed her and brought her to the beach where two off-duty nurses were able to revive her.
